Abstract
Background: Autoimmune hemolytic anemia is one of disease which trere are antibodies against erythrocyte cells so that erythrocyte cells easily lysed and lifespan of erytrhrocytes is shortened. Patients with AIHA have complications such as severe fatigue, heart problems, and death. Some inherited anemias such as sickle cell can cause life-threatening complications. Objective: The main purpose of this research is to describe the application of nursing care to patients with autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Method: This research uses a case study approach to patients through the nursing process, which includes: 1) assessment, 2) nursing diagnosis, 3) nursing plan, 4) nursing implementation, 5) evaluation. This research was conducted in Dahlia I Room, Dr. Sardjito Hospital on 6-8 May 2019, using a sample of patients with autoimmune hemolytic anemia. The tools of data collection was used include such as study formats, observation sheets, spygnomanometer, stethoscope, and thermometer. Result: Based on assesment result, we found that patient said he was feeling weakness, can not sit for long, feeling pain in both knees. There are eight nursing diagnoses that appear of this case. Conclusion: After taking nursing intervention for three days, there are six nursing diagnoses that have been resolved, and two nursing diagnoses have not been resolved
